We Love...

  • Travel
  • Great Food
  • Beautiful Landscapes
  • The Company of Friends

But, really, who doesn't?

We could also say we love to photograph beautiful things (we do), but that doesn't exactly make us special either.

The truth is, we weren't born with a magical photography gene. We feel passion, sadness, joy, and the myriad emotions that make us all human. However, we all experience the world a little differently. With all else being are equal, our unique perspective on the world makes each of us special.

We have an emotional response when we encounter a scene - from the mundane to the magnificent. Melinda and I strive to capture our unique reaction and convey it through our images. Doing so requires much more than simply snapping an image and moving on to the next stop.

Ultimately, the camera is just a tool. It is incapable of seeing the world the way humans do and it certainly doesn't attach any emotion to what it does see. Melinda and I believe that if we're going to tell the story of a place or person, we must be intimately involved in the process - from the research and planning, to the setup and capture of the shot, to the image's editing and printing.

Most importantly, though, photography makes us happy. We hope you like the stories we have to tell as much as we enjoyed creating them.
